Ex-Model's Assault on DiCaprio Results in Prison Sentence

In a rather unfortunate incident, a woman accused of causing harm to renowned actor Leonardo DiCaprio by striking him with a glass of wine during a party has been sentenced to a two-year imprisonment. The online edition of the Los Angeles Times reported this development.

The Los Angeles courts have deemed Aretha Wilson, a 40-year-old former model, responsible for the assault that took place at a gathering in the Hollywood hills back in June 2005.

According to witnesses, the actor was attacked as he was leaving the venue accompanied by some friends. It is worth noting that Wilson had an altercation with one of DiCaprio's acquaintances just before the incident occurred, leading to the glass impact on the actor.

The ex-model has already spent 330 days in jail in Los Angeles County, and this time will be subtracted from the total sentence she will have to serve in a Californian state prison. DiCaprio required medical attention after the attack and received 17 stitches on his face and one ear.
