Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly shared a close bond with George and Amal Clooney for numerous years, to the extent of inviting them to their wedding. Despite the rift between the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Royal Family following their step down, the Hollywood power couple, George Clooney (62) and Amal Clooney (45), remain impartial. Today, they graced the Prince's Trust and TKMaxx & Homesense Awards 2023 in central London, honoring the accomplishments of young individuals who have successfully completed the charity's programs.

Although the Clooneys attended Harry and Meghan's wedding in 2018, they candidly admitted not being well-acquainted with the royal couple at the time. Nevertheless, they were accorded a prominent seat for the ceremony. Princess Diana's former flatmate, Carolyn Bartholomew, seated next to George and Amal, inquired about their connection with the happy couple, to which they replied, "We don't."

Reportedly, George danced with both Meghan and Kate Middleton at a wedding after-party held at Frogmore House, further strengthening their relationship. Over time, the two couples have seemingly grown closer, with Amal being part of an intimate gathering of friends at the Duchess' baby shower in New York the following year.

According to the Sussexes' biography, "Finding Freedom," the Clooneys hosted Harry and Meghan on at least two occasions at their UK residence in Sonning, Oxfordshire. The book reveals delightful scenes of the royal pair bringing their dogs along, and the Clooneys frequently taking their guests down to the lake.

Notably, the Clooneys extended an invitation to the Sussexes to visit Lake Como mere weeks after their wedding, flying them out on George's private jet. When asked about his connection with the couple, George responded somewhat vaguely to the Daily Mail in 2019, stating, "I've just known them." He went on to describe the Sussexes as genuinely kind and fun individuals, reflecting on the reasons for their friendship, which mirror the qualities one seeks in any true friend.
