In an interview with Rolling Stone, Agron was queried about the enduring speculation that she served as the muse for the lyrics of the track "22," featured on Swift's 2012 album, "Red." The conjecture about their connection gained traction after Swift included a mention of the "Glee" actress in the album's liner notes.
"Me? Oh, if only!" Agron responded to the magazine. "That's primarily due to a profound friendship rather than being the catalyst behind the song. However, I am hardly the individual to consult on this matter. I simply cannot lay claim to such a notion!"
Agron and Swift commenced their companionship in 2012 and were captured together at numerous gatherings, including the 2014 American Music Awards.
Upon journalist Marlow Stern's clarification that the duo had been "shipped," an insinuation implying a covert romance as believed by fans and prominent media outlets, Agron dismissed the suggestion with a mere shrug.

In other portions of the discussion, Agron also addressed fervent conjecture concerning her conspicuous absence from a 2013 episode of "Glee" titled "The Quarterback." The said episode was a tribute to actor Cory Monteith, who tragically passed away at the age of 31 earlier that year.
