Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Explore the Possibility of Relocating from Montecito

The heart's abode may soon undergo a shift for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

Reports suggest that the couple is considering a potential move from Montecito, California, to the sun-kissed shores of Malibu, as revealed by an insider to Express.

Meghan, 41, and Harry, 38, have discreetly been exploring residences in this beachside city, seeking a closer connection to Los Angeles, according to the outlet.

"There's a silent exploration of alternatives taking place between Harry and Meghan, and Malibu is among the favored considerations," the source disclosed.

"Several unpublicized visits have taken place, allowing them to immerse themselves in the ambiance and offerings of the area."

The future remains uncertain, and the potential move is not set in stone, Express reported.

"It remains uncertain whether they will sell their Montecito property or simply broaden their horizons by acquiring a Malibu abode. This contemplation aligns with Meghan's renewed focus on her Hollywood endeavors through her association with WME," shared the insider. The allure of Malibu is amplified by its status as a preferred haven for numerous celebrities.

Since 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have resided in their expansive $14 million nine-bedroom mansion in Montecito, following their departure from the royal family earlier that year.

While representatives for Harry and Meghan have chosen not to comment, individuals close to the couple have indicated that they plan to remain in their current Montecito residence.

Recent months have seen the former actress entertaining thoughts of returning to Hollywood, which could potentially account for their interest in a new Tinseltown dwelling. This move aligns with her recent signing with William Morris Endeavor (WME), a new talent agency, signifying her aspirations for a global impact.

Commenting on this transition, Christopher Andersen, author of "The King," expressed to Fox News Digital in May that Meghan's new contract could propel her into the role of a "power player" within the realm of entertainment and media.

"If Meghan doesn't ultimately find herself hosting a syndicated daytime talk show, I would be surprised," Andersen shared with the publication.

He continued, "She's very well-suited for that particular role, and I can easily envision her following a career trajectory akin to Oprah [Winfrey]'s in media: hosting a show, engaging in magazine ventures, producing, directing – a comprehensive portfolio."

"The substantial segment of the audience continues to show support for her," Andersen added.

The couple has unveiled an array of projects, including their Netflix documentary series "Harry & Meghan" and the "Archewell Audio" podcast. Notably, the latter's Season 2 hasn't been renewed after their $20 million contract with Spotify fell through.

However, amidst their assortment of initiatives, royal expert Angela Levin contends that their media empire is undergoing challenges.

"Cracks are forming in their media empire," Levin stated, expressing her belief that their forthcoming endeavors could face setbacks.

She remarked that the duo's upcoming projects might not reach the heights they once did, noting, "People are growing weary of them," and suggesting that their planned content might face challenges ahead.
