Tom Cruise aims to conclude the filming of "Mission Impossible 7" in London, after facing numerous interruptions throughout the year due to the pandemic.
To ensure seamless progress in shooting amidst the pandemic, Tom Cruise, the 58-year-old actor-producer involved in a clandestine romance with his British co-star, Hayley Atwell, is investing millions to transform a former London military base into an exclusive film set.
Insiders associated with the movie disclosed to The Sun, a British tabloid, that the renowned Hollywood superstar is steadfast in his determination to complete the film promptly, without incurring any further costly delays caused by the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
Reliable sources from the aforementioned media outlet revealed that the filming will relocate from Leavesden in Herts to the former top-secret Longcross tank design base in Surrey. The move comes after Cruise reprimanded some crew members for their failure to adhere strictly to social distancing guidelines.
In a leaked audio clip, an enraged Tom Cruise can be heard berating his employees, saying, "We are creating thousands of jobs, sons of bitches. It is understood? If I witness it again, you're in deep trouble, and you're fired!" Five crew members resigned following the actor's outburst.
Cruise, who also holds the role of producer for the film, expressed immense frustration over the potential risk to his unwavering efforts to continue shooting amidst the pandemic. A production employee delivered a segment of the audio to The Sun, wherein the actor is heard saying, "We are not canceling this damn movie. Is it understood?"
In another part of the recording, Cruise asserts, "I care about you, but if you are not going to assist me, you're out. Understand? Notice that rod? How many meters is that?" referring to the meticulous anticovid measures he diligently implemented on the sets to prevent contagion among the cast and production team.
As the lead in "Top Gun," Tom Cruise has taken on the responsibility of crafting comprehensive security protocols to resume shooting following the extended hiatus that resulted in the postponement of the film's seventh installment from his illustrious franchise.
"He conducts daily inspections to ensure seamless functioning, observing that people are adhering to safety measures and working as securely as possible. He takes a proactive approach when it comes to security," divulged an insider to The Sun.
Personally committed to avoiding further delays, the actor has been spotted donning a mask on set consistently and vigilantly adhering to the established protocols. Additionally, he generously spent $500,000 from his own funds to arrange for a private cruise, ensuring protection for the cast and crew during their filming days in Norway.
Cruise has already encountered two production halts in Italy due to positive cases of coronavirus. His plea to Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden allowed him to resume filming in the UK in July.
A source on set disclosed, "Tom and Hayley hit it off from day one. The confinement and the accompanying difficulties brought them closer together. They've been spending time together after work, and she has been staying at his residence in Hendon. They both appear exceedingly content."
